At Braun Intertec we believe in giving back, especially during times like these, it’s as important as ever to continue doing that. We recently asked our employee-owners to send in some ways they have been giving back or helping others, and Boyd Branch, from our Wichita Falls office, is doing just that in his race to fight children’s cancer, literally! He will be participating in the Great Cycle Challenge, a 200-mile ride during the month of September that raises awareness for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF). Boyd has a strong connection to this cause, stating, “As a parent of a 13-year-old son who is a cancer survivor, I would tell anyone to never give up hope.”
The Great Cycle Challenge USA is celebrating its 6th year and has grown into one of the largest cycling events in the country. Over 230,000 riders from 50 states have ridden 18 million miles and raised over $24 million in research for this amazing cause. This will be Boyd’s first time riding the whole 200 miles and he is hoping to raise $500 throughout his ride!
