Meet Our Team

We’re proud to offer a diverse suite of services to our clients and employ industry-leading professionals in our San Antonio office. Leading the Braun Intertec San Antonio team is Associate Principal and Business Unit Manager, John Styron. As a professional engineer and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional, John has about 25 years of experience in construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering. Keeping things running smoothly for our team is Norma Craig, our office manager, and Cindy Miller, who performs project management duties for the Gulf Coast region.

Another key team member is Senior Engineer, Rene Gonzales. As a registered professional engineer with nearly 25 years of experience, Rene has experience in almost every market sector. Supporting our geotechnical team is Adrienne Ford-Mann, who organizes and performs the majority of the geotechnical studies from our office. From building sciences we have Brandon Bendele leading our regional building sciences group with Chad Menard taking the local lead. Both have many years of experience providing building envelope and roofing consulting. Eduardo Pulido leads our testing department with strong assistance from Joel Phillips. Bo Hale leads our nondestructive examination group and Ben Carmona runs our testing laboratory. Representing our environmental service department is Matt West.

E-week Golf TournamentEngaging with our Communities

Our San Antonio team members are committed to engaging with and giving back to our communities. Recently, several of our team members participated in community events during Engineers Week, or E-Week 2018. The week-long celebration brings together engineers, students and AEC professionals to celebrate engineers and bring awareness to the engineering profession. This year, our team members participated in the E-Week golf tournament and also sponsored a student to participate in the Engineer-for-a-day Program. This program gives local high school students interested in engineering the opportunity to spend the day with engineers who work throughout the City of San Antonio and surrounding areas.

About San Antonio

As the seventh most populous city in the United States and the second largest in Texas, San Antonio offers a vibrant culture rich with history, as well as one of the most diversified and fastest growing economies in the U.S. Straddling the regional divide between the coastal plains of south Texas and central Texas’ hill county, the city of San Antonio has been a fixture in the south for 300 years. In fact, San Antonio is celebrating our 300th anniversary this year!

Founded in 1718 with the establishment of the Mission San Antonio de Valero, known today as the Alamo, San Antonio continued to grow and develop into the thriving city it is today. The Alamo, along with four other missions found in the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015, becoming the first site in Texas to make the coveted list which includes the Grand Canyon and the Statue of Liberty.
