FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Minneapolis - May 4, 2015
Braun Intertec, a premier engineering, consulting and testing firm, is proud to announce the hire of Principal Geotechnical and Flood Protection Engineer, Paul Eickenberg. His primary responsibility will be to assist with our national growth in the water infrastructure market sector, particularly in the areas of flood protection and coastal resiliency.
“I am excited for the geo-structural experience and knowledge of the National flood control market that Paul will bring to the team. He is driven and client-focused, which help support our vision to be the consultant of choice,” says Jeffrey Gebhard, Vice President of Engineering.
From an engineering perspective, Paul enjoys slope stability and stabilization, flood protection, and coastal shoreline resiliency projects. One of his engineering passions is developing structural/natural solutions that create habitat while also providing protection (such as living oyster reefs or submerged breakwaters and the adjacent marshes that naturally grow).
Prior to joining Braun Intertec, Mr. Eickenberg was the International Director of Engineering for just under four years at Barrier Systems Manufacturer and Design firm. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Structural Engineering and a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Master of Science in Leadership from Capella University. He also spent about 9 years teaching the Civil Engineering Capstone course at the University of Minnesota.
