How Can Businesses Arm their Facilities Against COVID-19?

In this uncertain time of COVID-19, many businesses have shifted to remote work policies to slow the spread of the virus. However, working remotely is not feasible for all businesses, functions, or roles. For those required to be in the workplace, it is crucial in this unprecedented time to have a holistic human hygiene, cleaning, and disinfection plans to limit or slow the spread of COVID-19. This is even more crucial now that many states are lifting restrictions and businesses are reopening or increasing building capacity. A plan individualized to your workplace and the novel coronavirus will further the safety and health of your company as well as those who help keep operations running.

How can we help? Braun Intertec Corporation offers comprehensive Hygiene, Cleaning and Disinfection Plans for your Site based on recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), the Coronavirus Task Force, and other reputable public health resources.  A comprehensive plan would include:

This includes physical and institutional controls that may need to be implemented such as physical distancing, decreased interaction, and protocol for identifying and handling potentially infected individuals.

Disinfection Plan

Our team will develop a disinfection plan that includes specifications for cleaning and the application of disinfectants listed as effective against the spared of SARS-CoV-2 by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

PPE and Disinfection Hazard Assessment

We will put together a thorough assessment that includes a plan for disinfecting personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfection agent hazard assessment for employees and applicators.

Contractor and Employee Notification Policy

It is critical that a policy is put in place, we will develop and include requirements for those who may have a potential for infection (i.e., fever, illness, recent travel and exposure). This will include measures for company-wide notification of identified risks on site, screening requirements and questions regarding access to the facility by employees and potential contractors.

Disinfection Oversight

Every site is unique and requires unique specifications for disinfection and sanitizing. We have Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH), Certified Safety Professionals (CSP), General Safety Practitioners (GSP), and staff with Masters of Public Health (MPH) equivalent degrees that will guide and direct scientist level staff to provide disinfection oversight for cleaning activities in accordance with the disinfection plan.

Post-Disinfection Evaluation

Additional services can include cleaning and evaluation  of known infected areas in which staff will oversee and document cleaning and disinfection activities, Braun Intertec can also provide a post-disinfection evaluation through visual inspection, representative touchpoints, swabbing, and additional testing available upon request.
