St. Cloud Hospital Expansion

Construction for the St. Cloud Hospital expansion called for adding 505,480 square feet to the campus, as well as construction of a new bridge to the emergency room entrance, new entrances at every ramp level, a central processing department, and a 10-story addition for new surgery suites and inpatient rooms. The project also included adding 626 new parking spaces.

We were retained to provide construction materials testing and special inspection services, which included:

  • Observing and evaluating the soils for support of the proposed structures and pavements
  • ┬áProviding vibration monitoring during soil improvement operations
  • Observing concrete formwork, anchor bolts and reinforcement for compliance
  • Performing laboratory compressive strength testing of concrete
  • Performing inspections of masonry block walls for the elevator/stairwell shafts
