Timothy D. Tonyan, PhD, has over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, with extensive experience in construction consulting, building systems research and intellectual property development. He is currently involved in multiple forensic investigations and litigation support on building materials and the building enclosure. He has joined Braun Intertec in 2022 as the Vice President for the building and structure sciences (BaSS) group. Dr. Tonyan has led an internationally recognized consulting engineering and construction materials testing firm. He holds a doctorate in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is a member of both the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the Scientific Research Honor Society, Sigma Xi, and has had his research published in many notable building and construction journals.
