Alf Gardiner, Braun Intertec Concrete Technical Leader and Principal Engineer based in our Minneapolis, MN office presented at the ICRI Virtual Fall Convention on October 14th, 2020.
Alf presented on evaluation techniques for structures undergoing extreme environments. This presentation explored the evaluation of two structures that were integral parts of manufacturing processes and required limited down time for repair as well as the nondestructive testing techniques they used to evaluate the condition of the concrete and the repair options available for the structures.
Alf brings more than 20 years of experience and thought leadership to help clients interpret and provide conclusions of failure mechanisms based on petrographic examinations of concrete for projects with concrete failures. He uses nondestructive testing techniques such as ground penetrating radar, thermography and impact echo to determine distress in structures.
