Dr. Sergio Guerra to Chair Panel at Air & Waste Management Association Annual Conference

Braun Intertec is pleased to announce Dr. Sergio Guerra will lead a panel discussion at the Air & Waste Management Association’s 114th Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE 2021) on June 15. Sergio brings 20 years of experience as an air quality environmental regulator and consultant giving him unique insights into the interaction of the theoretical and practical aspects of air quality.

Sergio will lead the virtual panel, “2021 AERMOD Modeling System Updates with U.S. EPA and Federal Land Manager Initiatives” where members from the EPA Office of Air Quality and Planning Standards (OAQPS) will discuss both the current status and future plans for regulatory air quality modeling. In addition, representatives from the United States Bureau of Land Management will discuss their initiatives for assessing air quality issues for protected Class I areas. Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions via chat during the final portion of the panel session.

Sergio Guerra is a recent addition to the Braun Intertec Environmental, Health and Safety division which offers specialized permitting and compliance expertise. He joins our air practice group which has been significantly strengthened to assist clients in preparing air permit applications, regulatory applicability, emission calculations, and dispersion modeling. Our air practice group serves a wide array of industrial clients in oil and gas, manufacturing, steel assets production, power plants, foundries, aggregates, semiconductors, automotive, silica sand processing, lumber production, and many more.

We feature expertise including compliance audits for industrial facilities; emissions inventory reporting; air monitoring, stack testing and modeling to help verify compliance; and third-party air modeling and features. Our team includes former state regulators, engineers, toxicologists, and expert air modelers. Air permitting continues to be at the forefront of the practice as clients and regulators demand additional complex services for air assistance.
