Project Description
An Air Conditioning Manufacturer and Contractor requested that W&M Environmental (now part of Braun Intertec) conduct a regulatory applicability screening (RAS) for their facility in San Antonio, Texas. This project consisted of a site visit to assess any regulatory concerns, an interview with client personnel, and a detailed report for the client outlining regulatory gaps and corrective actions that should be taken to ensure the full compliance of this facility.
Project Details
There are seemingly countless regulatory requirements to comply with; these requirements change over time and can often be overwhelming for a client to tackle. That is where our team steps in. Our experts can provide a RAS, an integral service that provides clients with a report of potential regulatory concerns or gaps and corrective measures to mitigate these concerns. We determined regulatory applicability with federal and state regulations in the areas of:
- Hazardous and non-hazardous waste generation management and chemical storage;
- Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC);
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3);
- Air emissions and water supply permitting, as applicable.
The Solution
We conducted a site visit to understand the ins-and-outs of the facility, conducted interviews with client personnel with detailed knowledge of the site to determine if there were any gaps or concerns in their compliance, and reviewed readily-available site records. Our team produced a report including applicable regulations, gaps in compliance, summary tables, and suggested corrective actions the client could take towards this facility being fully compliant.
