The Road to Success for Pavement Performance

Amy Grothaus is a Senior Engineer with Braun Intertec with extensive experience in pavement consulting projects. She has assisted multiple cities and counties across the U.S. to better manage their infrastructure assets, inventory and has consulted on management of roadways, sidewalks, curb and gutter, traffic signs, parkway trails, and water utilities. Amy also brings experience in pavement design; pavement conditions assessments for low and high-volume roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and parkway trails; and data collection related to pavement condition, repair, and analysis. She has worked with several agencies on pavement management including pavement condition surveys, securing financing, budget forecasting, customized deterioration curves, and long-term management plans.  

Dan Wegman is a Principal Engineer at Braun Intertec with 35 years of experience in pavement consulting. Dan worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation for 9 years where his contributions included innovative research on pavement technologies, overseeing successful performance of asphalt, concrete, and bridge construction projects, and management of new program implementations. Dan also has extensive experience working with cities on pavement materials selection, pavement rehabilitation programs, and process recommendations. Additionally, he has worked with several counties to assist in implementation of various recycling projects wit an emphasize on achieving better performance pavements while utilizing existing in-place materials for superior life cycle value.
