Insights from ASTM E1527-21 Implementation: Refining the Environmental Due Diligence Process

By Braun Intertec

ASTM E1527-21 came into effect in February 2023, replacing ASTM E1527-13 as the latest industry standard for environmental due diligence in property transactions. Since its implementation, this revised standard has introduced helpful updates, aiming to improve the due diligence process, and provide more uniformity and clarity to Phase I ESA reports.

As environmental professionals, we have been implementing most of the new components of ASTM E1527-21 since early 2022, and observing the effect on our reporting process and client requirements as part of their due diligence efforts .

Curious to know what we’ve observed so far? During this informative webinar, Frank Clark, PE, PG and Mark Ciampone from Braun Intertec will review some of the key changes to the standard and how they have been implemented in our practice these past 6 months.

Learn:

  • Why was ASTM E1527 updated anyway?
  • What are some of the key revisions from the previous standard?
  • What are the practical impacts of the principal revisions?
  • Impacts on project costs and schedules
